mixer to sing with

Hopefully this is the right place to put this..........................

As some of you know we are doing a Blues Bro act, At the moment we are going through an mc6000 to sing through, What I need to know is there a better way of doing it, It does sound good but me being me I want better. Should I be looking for a different mixer to use or would a karaoke mixer do the same??

I would use a separate mixer. The mic channel is not the best on the MC6000 and the echo is rubbish. I would get a little mixer to use with proper FX on.

I can see from the specs the mc6000 has got a built in echo feature but you would be better with a proper fx mixer or external unit where you can change the reverb parameters etc.

That appears to be the consensus. When I've used John's I've rarely been really happy with the result.

Hammy, for what you need, I'm sure there will be a small sized one with the necessary bits on, all you need are two or three mic channels, and a line input for the Denon. I can't suggest one offhand, but I'll have a look round.

Have a look on ebay , there are a lot of small format mixers with built in FX , Alesis, Behringer and two that spring to mind.
