Google calendar sync

I have been using Google calendar sync for some time , now google have dropped the service I can no longer sync calendars between outlook, google calendar and my blackberry, this is a right PITA , is there an alternative I could use, else I will have to plug the blackberry into the PC to update any calendar entries , or maybe I should get out of the war between Google and Microsoft and buy a diary and pen...........:p

my google calendar seems to be syncing fine between the computer and my andriod phone, also fine on the ipad.

Occasionally i have to 'force stop' the app on the phone, then restart it to make it update.

Ive got the 'google calendar' app and 'smooth calendar' running on the phone with few issues

Google dropped "Google Sync" and parts of "Google Calendar" in January as part of a clearout of services that were deemed redundant due to other developments.

I use the basic Android Calendar and it syncs between my online and offline calendar so it keeps everything up to date. However, there are loads of calendar/diary/organiser apps on Android at the moment. Just check out Google Play (and pay attention to the user ratings! ;) ) for some idea of what's out there.

EDIT:

Do Blackberry's have their own OS or run on Anroid? I've no idea but I'm sure this could make a difference to my post!! :zip:

I have the portable version running solo on a memory stick. Also have the android version on my Nexus 7 and the 2 will sync together.

TBO I think all this tech still isnt as good as just having a diary and pen :o
