I thought I would do something completely different.
I have recorded myself reading the opening chapter of Kenilworth.

Do I have a listenable voice? How many seconds did you cope with before cutting off?

I know you guys are always balanced with your opinions so will take on board any comments before embarking on recording the ENTIRE novel.

Does this inspire you to want to read Sir Walter too?

(Apologies for mispronunciation of any French words - not my strong point)

Well Lee, I got to 31 seconds and found myself clearing my throat because you didnt, That is something that really does annoy me (its a personal thing), Personally no I wouldnt record it just yet.

Are there any other Walter Scott fans here?

I thought it was very well read. Put it this way, if I heard that on the radio, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Thanks. That encourages me to record more.
All the best
