Can you master / slave Mega Bar 50s with RCs?

I currently run a Mega Bar RC (1m version) I'm looking at getting another but have been offered a good deal on 2 Mega Bar 50s.

Can you master slave them with the big bar or can they only be linked to the same type of unit?

Indeed you can DMX / Master / Slave these units :)

The newer versions even come with wireless remotes which you can then control all the other fixtures :)

Funny you ask this, not quite the same, but I have 2 mega bar 50's and 2 mega pars. Ive always used them indepently in pairs, I use the megabars to light up the equinox screen, and the pars on the overhead. I did try once at a gig to link from the bars to the pars, but could not get them to work in sync. Today I thought I would have another go, link them all up, but still not working together, then for some reason I thought I would change the channel mode from 7 to 3, and hey presto, it worked. For some reason they just don't seem to work together in any other mode but 3ch. Not sure if you will have the same problem with them both being bars allbeit different sizes.

I think the 2 50s could actually be more versatile since I can have them set as an L shape against the wall if I'm stuck in a pokey wee corner, have both sitting together linked to work like a Mega Bar behind me or have them at either side of the rig working as uplighters.

Yes channel 3 is how my mega tri pars are linked into the adj rgb mixer.

I also have 2 adj mego go bar 50 (the battery ones) but cannot figure out how to get them doing the same programme vis the remote.ie its fine on styatic red but when i change to auto or sound to light they are both running differently.

Any ideas on how to cure this problem?

Silly question I know but, are both units "seeing" the remote control, even if not directly pointing at the units, it can still pick up the ir siganal, ive found. You Probably already know this, but you can turn off the ir on each unit.

Appologies if this sounds like teaching you to suck eggs, but just a thought.
