I've got a wizard that keeps triping out on thermal overload, I'm reasonably sure the fault is with the fan, the one fitted, (may not be the original) is the Sunon KDE1208PTB1 12v dc 2.6W. Unfortunatley the only ones I can locate are in the USA, and cost a small fortune to ship, so an alternative is needed. I've found a slightly higher spec on from CPC 'BISONIC - SP802512H-03-W' which I think will be OK, but would like the opinion of anyone with more electronics experience than myself. The differences that concern me are: The Sunon fans rated current is: 0.22A and the rated power is 2.6W The replacements rated current is: 300 mA and the rated power is 3.6W. Are these differences likley to cause problems or damage the lamps electronics?

You should be able to get the correct part from these guys. That's where I get my Martin spares.

How did you get on with this? I had similar issue and found the fan in a radionics catalogue but when I received it the model number was slightly different.
Its been a few months so too late to return.

I found a fan with similar specs (or so I thought) and also a new thermal cut out on CPC, I fitted the cut out, the connectors came out in a different direction but this didn't matter as there was space available. When I came to fit the fan I spotted I had missed the fact it was 24v DC not the 12v DC I needed so this was not fitted, out of curiosity I put the cover back on and tried it. The outcome was the new thermal switch had cured the cutting out problem, so a result of sorts, even if I had wasted a tenner.
