Let's get ready to rumble. Ok so I haven't checked out all the facts, but is it true what I'm hearing that this abomination of a track is about to top the UK Charts again?:Censored::Censored: Please stop the world. I want to get off

They performed it on Saturday Night Takeaway at the weekend as part of the skit with the 'Big Reunion' lot (Blue, Five & Atomic Kitten). Ant & Dec's performance stole the show. I'd rather play 'Let's Get Ready To Rumble than Gangnam still or Harlem Shake any day of the week. :)

I just heard it sitting in the golf club on the charts. I am assuming it may have something to do with comic relief? I dont ever watch TV so am out of the loop.

- the guy behind the bar did not even know who they are LOL.
I thought they hated this track. Its actually good IMO if not very cheesy.

I wonder if it was thier idea or the record companies - I have noticed a massive rise in boy band requests this year.
I tend to do a backstreet, 5ive etc. set each gig and they go down very well.

For lots of punters it is one of those guilty pleasure records that they liked when they were young and then grew up and dissed it but are now sufficiently old to admit to having liked it. Similar the Chesney Hawkes a decade previous.

It is because of Saturday night takeaway and they did steal the show. I've got to say that Five (or should I say Four?) really showed their age, as did Atomic Kitten and Blue were pretty good, but Ant and Dec probably did the whole routine better now than they did when they were younger (my wife saw them doing it live as a teenager!)

I don't mind it, it goes well with Backstreet, A1, Five, Boom shake the room, etc, etc.

I wonder if it was thier idea or the record companiesNeither. It's the beauty / curse of the download.

Something gets featured prominently on prime time TV / a film / whatever & the sheep all rush off to download it.

They were on Chris Evans radio programme this morning and it was the idea of the Saturday Night production team that as they had the others on they thought it woul;d be a goood idea for Ant & Dec to reprise theirs too.

They thought they could wing it without much rehearsal "having done in millions of times" but when they saw 5ive. Atomic Kitten and Blue rehearsing, they panicked and had to practise a bit more. No wonder they were knackered at the end, I mean 37 year old blokes pretending to be nineteen again!

Let's be fair, now. Could it really have been any worse, or more cringeworthy, than the original?

The strange thing is that Byker Grove was considered fantastic kid's telly, when I was younger, by just about everyone I'd spoken to who didn't live in the North East at the time!!! The kids round here, generally, thought it was wasn't too good. However, I will concede that the show did teach us everything we know about paintball safety!! ;)

Mary and I had an end of term Easter party to do at a local School yesterday and discussed to possibility of playing this track. Well sure enough after only 10 minutes the kids were asking for it. What I can't understand is how or why would they be asking for it after only hearing possibly for the first time on Saturday night. After all, none of them were born when it was out the first time.

Edit: Probably bought it/downloaded it, cos it was Ant & Dec??

So it got there then.......The sad thing is, is that I've been asked for it at all this weeks weddings. OMG I need to go and lie down in a dark room. I'm losing the plot;);)

I played it at both weddings last weekend and it went down really well. One of the brides and grooms wanted Five Everybody Get Up so i played PJ & Duncan after it.
