Bubble machine

Recommendations for a machine around £50 please. It's for a one off corporate which includes a 2 hour kids party and I'll probably sell it after.

I once lost a hotel residency as the DJ coming in "had a bubble machine" which that and £20 less was thier only justification LOL.
Went to the much better hotel next door following that conversation and never looked back :)

Always worth having one Darren assuming its not too expensive? Great for kids etc.
Not great for dancefloors and high heels though LOL.

I use the same one as Hammy. It's not often that I need to use it to be honest but it does the job.
Darren, if it's for one booking, isn't it worth just hiring one?
For £60 ish it might be worth keeping it as you never know. That's what I did.

i have a Martin smoke machine that I break out 3/4 times a year for non fire detector venues and proms LOL.

Cost £50 - not worth having - not worth selling ;)

Will be great when i have kids for halloween parties etc.

Being a children's entertainer as well I have had several bubble machines through many years but the one I have at present is def the best. Plastic casing, pour in at front and pour out into bottle to empty.

I use bubble liquid that is almost dry when/if it reaches the floor and when I have finished the 5 litre I will be investing in liquid that becomes a spec of dust when the bubble bursts. Dry bubbles. Only available in 4 x 5L or 1 x 25L though so I will resell some.

Oooooo I like the sound of this bubble liquid - what is it? Potential slips due to bubble machine are one of my biggest fears at kids discos.

If you get that bubble fluid on your equipment and and don't notice to clean it of it will rust within a week, don't know quite how it does it but it does. Those chauvet bubble machines mentioned earler, the metal screw that holds the bottom to the top will also rust out in no time. They are not easy to empty because the screw is located in the wrong place, so is often a messy peice of equipment. I Had one of those got rid of that pretty darn quick, very poor design and not that good at generating bubbles either.

Using a Bubbletron with the plastic case you don't have to worry about rusting. Rusting bubble machines look bad too.

I was using mine with Rosco bubble fluid at a Grade 1 listed building in Norwich Friday http://www.dragonhall.org/ for the children's entertainment before commencing the evening wedding disco. The floor is masonry tiled and when any bubbles hit the floor there was no sign of them within 3 seconds. It was as if they evaporated and this is the best bubble liquid I have ever used. http://www.rosco.com/fog/bubsfluid.cfm

I emailed and asked for nearest supplier here in Norfolk and Viking Lighting Hire Norwich was advised. I think the 1 US Gallon was around £27 but it is excellent and lasts ages.
