Coupling Pioneer CDJs to Pioneer DJMs

What is the best way of coupling these units, with reference to both sound quality and reliability? Is it via the Optical output / inputs connectors, or with decent quality RCA leads?

Depends on which models you have.

For the older models go for the digital connection, or the standard rca connections if you are using an external sound card, for running timecodes.


Or if it's the newer Nexus models, you can use the LAN connections to make use of all the Pioneer features.
