I just recieved a text message offering me hard drives full of MP3 or Karaoke tracks, guess they got my mobile number from my website , obviously a way of selling illegal items with no advertising costs or come back .

I got that last week.

Googled the number and it came from a guy in the city but the only stuff I could find was that he ran a football team, nowt about DJing and so on.

The other thing that occurred to me was could it have been from pro dub ;)

Yes indeed I have had that same text 3 times over the last 3 months

I've had emails before but never a text , I've had lots texts offering me some sort of service but not really a specific item before , just wondering if this is the start of people looking at what sort of business you are in and targeting you with unrequested texts.

This particular text seems to be doing the rounds, quite a few DJ's on FB are getting it as well.

As it's reaching a lot of DJ's on various forums my thoughts are it's a DJ with a bit of a chip on their shoulder testing how many people show interest and they'll do a name and shame post on FB at some point.
