This may seem an odd question, but I have been having a bit of trouble with one of my XLR cables connecting my mixer to my active speakers.
On Saturday the speaker randomly cut out, and I found on a slight movement of the cable it seemed to be OK.
I am thinking that this may be to do with how I store the lead and wind it up between gigs.
I tend the wrap it around my arm, from my hand to elbow as I was under the impression that keeping it neatly wound like this would limit any twisting and kinking of the cable.
My question is - What is the best way to store long lengths of cable to keep them in optimum condition whilst storing them neatly without having to detangle at each gig?
