My niece is a singer, and she's just started working with another singer with a view to going out as a duo (both female). (She already does band and solo work, and a duo with a keyboard/guitarist, but this is a new project with 2 female vocalists using backing tracks.)
They have a showcase night in September, and, one of the things they have to do is a performance of something recent (within the last year).
They are thinking about doing a mix of 2 tracks for this and so are looking for two tracks that they can 'mix' (ie similar BPM that will go together). The tracks need to be very commercial / popular - suitable for family events / holiday park-type entertainment.
They are considering either Robbie Williams - Candy, or Daft Punk - Get Luck as one of the tracks but want a few ideas for a second song to go with one or the other (or two different tracks suitable to show off female vocals, that are recent, and which go together)
So, anybody got any ideas / suggestions? - The more, the better!

Robin Thicke - Blurred Line in to Daft Punk - Get Lucky works well for me at gigs and can be made the same BPM (Around 120).
Alternatively, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama in to Kid Rock - All Summer Long can work...

I don't think there's enough going on vocal wise in Blurred Lines or Get Lucky for it to work. Plus both of them are going to be in a really low register for females to sing.
Candy is a good shout as there's plenty going on and it's pretty high for a male vocal so will probably be in a nice key for them to handle.
I think a Bruno Mars tune would be good because he's got a ridiculous range but I'd personally go with Locked Out of Heaven as it's got more energy and I've never particularly liked Treasure.
What about The Saturday's What About Us? If they're both going to be singing at the same time there's plenty of harmonies and counter vocal parts that they could work on to come up with something really cool as the other ones are basically a single vocal line with the odd backing vocal. The Sean Paul rap would be optional of course :)

I don't know, I think Locked Out Of Heaven into Macklemore - Can't Hold Us could be very entertaining! The only problem is that you'd only really have the chorus of Can't Hold Us to work with, but if you worked it into some kind of medley, I think it would great fun. The mix is pretty much on the money in terms of the tempo.

Thanks for the help so far, but it would be good to have a few more ideas.
