New Mobile DJ Setup

Greetings from County Durham.

Me and my work colleague are setting up a mobile dj disco business in the North East.

We are going in 50/50 with the costs. We are looking at purchasing the following equipment.

Rhino Twin Bar 4ft Disco Stand
American Audio VMS2 DJ Controller
W Audio DSR15A Active Speakers x 2
Intimidation V2 Wireless Mic System for Karaoke and MC duties

We are also offering a Video Dj service so are pricing up a Projector screen and projector.

The only thing we are unsure of is lighting, we are aiming to do a whole range of venues and celebrations so need lighting that is suitable for all occasions.

Also, we have been looking at DJ insurance, is it better getting it through DJ guard or joining the NADJ?

The most versatile lighting rig I've ever bought is a 'Par Bar' set up, it will provide all the lighting you need for most jobs, and is easy to transport and rig. This is the one which in my opinion represents the best value, but other brands are available. The only criticism I have is the tripod could be a bit better quality, but when it broke it was replaced under warranty with a new one without any drama, difficulty or arguments.
