On Thursday evening I had an enquiry for Hogmanay (first and only enquiry so far). The lady told me the ceilidh band that usually plays at her village Hogmanay party couldn't do it this year as one of the band members had to get an operation.
I gave her a price which she accepted.
Friday 3pm, I get a confirmation email from my online booking system and she paid her deposit.
Friday 7pm, she called me to say that they had found a replacement person to play in the original band so wanted to cancel the disco. Best bit was 'you can keep the deposit for your trouble'
So im free again on Hogmanay, but im £100 up :)
