Wireless Microphone

Hi,

I'm currently using a wired microphone, but really need to look at something wireless.

Are there any decent(ish) budget microphones which anyone could recommend (or have for sale)

Not really wanting to go above £100 for something used. Just after something which can be used for speeches (presentations), and probably karaoke.

Been looking at used KAM KWM1960 (2 mics) at around the £130 mark.

I have a plug in AKG capsule and receiver that converts any mic into a radio mic. The receiver is in good condition but the plug in transmitter has seen better days although it is still fully functional. You can have both for £60.

I also have a Sennheiser EW100 hand held radio mic and receiver. Trouble is this is way over your budget at £165 but it is an excellent piece of kit.

I would look at Line 6 digital mics, but UHF ones are good.

I use the AKG set. got good for handling noise but very small and clear.

+1 for AKG, I've got the single handset version of this and while they do suffer from quite a lot of handling noise, they sound great and I've had no issues at all with reliability.

I do wonder if you could purchase or make a rubber sleeve for them??
Even gaffer tape would help. I only have problems with other users during speeches tbh.

It's the people who fidget with the microphone when they're holding it who cause problems. People who are used to holding Mic's seem to have a firmer grasp!!

Never knew that it breaks them.
Thats the way people do it on films etc. so I am not surprised.
