Hi all,
Just wondered whether anyone had experienced the same problem and if there is a workaround?
One of my ADJ Mega Bar 50 RC's is not doing what it should be doing.
It has power going through it but no light coming out? It happened this morning and hasn't happened before.
I have it linked to another unit and that is lighting up as it should do but the 'feeder' unit isn't lighting up itself?
Any ideas?
Cheers

I had a similar problem with an uplighter.
Turned out that kids had been playing with the menu and turned the "blackout" feature to yes. This meant that it would only light up when receiving a DMX signal, otherwise it would be off. As soon as the blackout function was turned off, everything was fine and back to normal.

Thanks for that.
I think I have sussed it?
As I am sure you're aware, these units have a power in and power out so that you can daisy chain them.
The power in socket has a 1 amp fuse holder located above it. I've just checked it and it looks like the fuse has blown so I'll have to change that (would you believe I have a stack of spare fuses...3 amp, 5 amp and 13 amp but no 1 amp!....arrrghhh!).
I'm no sparky but I don't understand how the unit can power another unit like it did (and just has done) but won't power up itself?
I'm guessing (and hoping) that replacing the fuse will fix the problem?
Anyone 'in the know' that would like to explain how this works?

Sorted!
A quick trip down the road to that place they call Maplins for a pack of 1 amp fuses and problem solved!
