well that's it for a couple of weeks , no gigs, mind you,I could do with a break.
I have done more gigs up to now than I did the whole of last year.
so...........................
Replace XLR mic lead ( broke last night)
Finish transferring all music to new laptop (estimated time 28 hours.........), new laptop is a Toshiba satellite, Celeron processor , 4Gb ram , 500Gb HD, Win 8
Strip down Win 8 and remove file duplicates ( around 3500...).
Order some black Tuffcab from Blue Aran and re-paint speakers.
Check all cables for gaffer tape residue ( a pet hate)
Strip down , re-spray ultimax overhead truss ( where things have been added over the years, black tape has been used , this will be replaced with cable ties.
Have a ivory front curtain made, I have a wedding in July , the B&G would like a white/creamish front, I was quoted £108 from a local fabric outlet , including Velcro, lined and weighted on bottom.
Get new laptop to talk to the VMS 4.1, XP worked , but alas, no cue ,play or pause lights.
sort out garden........................
cheers
