Dear All,

I am currently looking for a good quality dual wireless mic system, mainly for use for my Toastmaster role, but could also be used for the DJ side of things.

I am aware of a couple of systems, namely Shure, Kam and now Line 6.

Do any of you use such a system and, if so, your views.

Would also consider a second hand system if the quality (and price :) ) was right.

Kind regards,

Ian.

I've had the KAM stuff and it was horrible.

What happened with this then? (http://www.forum.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/showthread.php?41798-Dual-Wireless-Hand-Held-amp-Lapel-Mic-System&highlight=akg+mini)

Didn't the AKG Mini work out for you? Or are you just looking for something better now for Toastmaster use?

Hi Julian,

I did look at your suggestion but, on reflection and as you say, need something better (if possible :) )

Kind regards,

Ian.

I thought from the other thread that you'd already bought the AKG WMS Mini pack?

Do you have a budget in mind? There are plenty of dual systems out there of varying quality but the amount you're willing to spend will shape the recommendations. I ended up going for the AKG system as it gives rock solid reception with a very nice sound for a reasonable price tag (sub £200 for each unit), the downsides being that all of the bodies are plastic and you get handling noise.

Going up from the AKG, I'd say you should be looking at Line6, Shure and Sennheiser but your budget will need to be almost double for mid-range units.

Ooooh no. Don't want feedback.

I only use Shure & Sennheiser mics now but keep an old KAM hanging around if I feel that it is going to get some ill treatment.

I have got a Line 6 tie clip one here but no handheld mic to go with it.

Unfortunately also the PSU failed it's PAT because you can see a little bit of the metal wiring inside the lead where somehow it's been bent and stretched inside the cables box, but it still works no bother.

It's the Line 6 V35 tie clip
