Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any issues with wireless mics being in a flightcase. Don't know whether it's just coincidence but every time I put my wireless AKG mics into a case (on their own) they seem to pick up a funny interference? Is that possible?

The casing on the receiver is metal so not sure if that would be a contributing factor?

Thanks in advance for your help,

The metal case will act as as screen to radio signals.

No expert but normally aerials are just metal poles ... my sister uses a telescopic fork to boost her radio signal so can't imagine putting a metal pole near a metal case would help.
Assuming that wireless Mic's use a similar radio technology.

can you describe the interference, is it a hum ? rasping, fading ?

Can you say please whether these mics are VHF or UHF and, presumably they are switched on at the time, though why you would be putting them in the case when still turned is a bit strange to me.

It might not be the case, but just seemed a bit weird.

It would be fine but then all of a sudden there would be a large like pop, high pitched sound. It would come and go. When the mic is switched off, I did notice that the signal light was flashing a little bit?

This is the mic.
