OK - my client for next weekend has just decided on his playlist (I think).....

This is the message that's just come through DJEP

"I just would like you to start with 80s then 90s R&B and urban to 2000 old school garage to today's hits I like urban and hip hop and dance house is this something you can come up with thanks"

This by the way, is for a 30th birthday party. He was one of my first bookings just after I started back into DJ'ing and back then I was just so keen to take bookings, I didn't stop and ask what they were after.....I've learned a lot since then thankfully :o

Now I like a challenge and I'm willing to try anything, but this is going to be a very LONG 41/2 hours methinks

80's - no problem
90's R&B - no problem....my pleasure
90's urban.....hmmmmm
Today's hits - no worries

It all falls to bits for me from that point on to be honest.
Yes - I've gone back to him and asked for any particular favourites (more to give me an idea of what exactly he's after)....other than that I'm completely stumped for inspiration (hip hop and urban definitely don't feature high on my list of favourites).

So chaps and chappesses....any ideas?
