I haven't used the PG48, so can't vouch for it. Many on here are more than happy with it. The next model up SM58 doesn't suit my voice, but I love the SM58 Beta. That's not cheap, sadly.

I've never heard that model, but I've never heard a Numark mic that I rated, IMO the best budget buy is the Shure PG58 which at around £45 including a 4.5M cable, carry case and a stand mount is a bargain, personally I prefer it to the legendary Shure SM58 at twice the price. If purchased from Thomann (http://www.thomann.de/gb/shure_pg58xlr_performance_gear.htm#bewertung) you would also get a 3 year guarantee thrown in. I would strongly advise you to resist the urge to buy a cut price Shure mic off the 'bay' there is a huge amount of fakes floating around, they may look the same, but they certainly don't sound the same.

Well said Mark. I use the sm58 beta wired and uhf and as they have a better top end handling they are well know as a vocalists mic.

Ahem. While we're obviously agreed that the SM58 Beta is a superb mic for speech and vocals, the OP was looking at a sub £20 mic initially. The Beta is over £100 dearer, so I'd guess that even the PG48 is top end of the price range. I think suggestions in the sub £50 range might be more helpful.
The advice to avoid new mics on ebay is good, unless it's from a reputable seller you already know and trust.

I forgot to mention THIS (http://www.musicgeardirect.co.uk/) place in my reply, they carry a huge stock of pro equipment and have excellent demo facilities, the last time I was there they couldn't do too much to help me, I was well impressed. They do have a large range of mics on sale including budget ones, as well as the quality brands, their prices are discounted too, ie Shure PG48 - £30, Shure PG58 - £45, Shure SM58 - £87 they are situated almost next to the Nottingham IKEA store, and no, I'm not on commission. :)

You can order online, postage would be £2.50 according to the website, obviously it depends what you can find locally and the price, as to whether or not it would be worth it.

Your looking at £150 or £300 roughly for the wireless system vs £70 for the one i have found, which is still good (following a thorough test).
