I recently bought the black XPRS and love it but I can't make my mind up what to do with it.

Laser cut the panel, sticker on the panel, vinyl lettering on the panel, something on the perspex....

Really can't make my mind up.

What have you guys done, if you feel the need you could post pictures to give me some inspiration :beer1:

Another option I thought of last night = stickers or skins on both laptops sitting on the both shelves that way it's a bit of advertising and branding but not being too in your face / obvious.

Plus it means the thing isn't a very expensive clothes horse if I cut it, ruin it with stickers and then decide I want to sell it down the line.

Main console is lit up with an ADJ Megbar, whilst the panel is lit up with a very cheap ADJ Colour Tube (http://www.americandj.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=1837). The full branding on the three acrylic panels and the laser cutting cost me about £220-250 (I can find out the exact figure if you want).

The laptop is a nice idea, but don't do it instead of the Liteconsole branding. Make the most of being able to customize what will be the most eye catching piece of kit that you may ever own. People always comment on the LC at my gigs, and I like to think that I have an impressive light show around it too.

If I was to get it laser cut though, wouldn't it need to be re-powder coated after it?

I cannot answer that question, I'm afraid. I didn't have mine powder coated (although, I am thinking of doing it now just for the aluminium panel).

If you go the laser cut route, make sure they put an opaque panel behind the panel to distribute whatever light source you use better.

What did you do with yours in the end, Jim?

I notice you have a black frontage Benny - does the console come with that option rather than the white? Or did you have to source it elsewhere?

I had my frontage and side panels done in black when I had my Liteconsole branded up. As far as I am aware, the acrylic panels come only as the standard white/opaque. I guess that's so you can use a lighting fixture behind the panel. :)

Hi Benny.

The short answer is currently nothing. You know how the best laid plans go...

I'm in the middle of redoing my website and have come up with a snazzy new logo and I'd been holding back on getting anything done to the console until I was 100% happy but now I've got the design down, I can start looking at getting it cut.

Hmmmmm. So one of the current trends is to have a frontage of translucent material, with a light source behind it illuminating some form of logo relating to the company.

My memory's not what it was, but I'm sure I remember having something like that over thirty years ago. Just can't remember what they were called.

Jim,

How are you getting on with the console? Are you finding it ok to transport?

We are looking at possibly swapping out our Equinox screen for this.

Thanks 👍

What are you guys feelings on having the company logo on your stand - many of the wedding forums I read ask about this and say its tacky, but im not sure.

In the Old Days, it was de rigeur. I believe it to be well out of fashion now. I'm not the final arbiter of " Tacky or Tasteful ", but the plainer the better for me.
However, it seems to me that this particular stand is crying out for some form of decoration on the front. I'd grudgingly accept a nice design, but as I say, not " Fred's bloody amazing disco " and the like.

EDIT: Look at Martin's console in his " Minimalist " thread. Plain single colour, unbelievably classy. ( Unless after the picture was taken, he set it off sound to lights in four colours ) :D:D
