Hi All
I have two speakers and a passive monitior the plate on back of speakers say; 200w continous 400w Program 800 w peak the monitor says 150w cont 300w prog 600w peak.
What amp power will i need bearing in mind i would like to add two subs when i can afford them at a later date.
Would a Behringer NU1000 Inuke 1000W Power Amplifier be ok.
Thanks in advance.

For various reasons, the set up you are looking for won't be ideal, ie adding the monitor. Fuller answer tonight, as I'm still recovering from BPM. :daft:

Right, better late than never. :o
For the two cabs you have, ( assuming they're 8 ohm cabs ) the Behringer would suffice. Trying to bring the monitor into play probably isn't a good idea. If you were hoping for a noticeable increase in volume, you won't get one by adding one speaker. With cabs of the size you have, I don't expect you to need a monitor, even for Karaoke.
If you wish to add subs at a later date ( and drive them from one amp ) the Behringer will be underpowered. It's barely big enough for the tops, never mind hanging some subs off it. As you may have guessed, all my suggestions are going to cost money.
1) Ignore the monitor, get a Peavey IPR 2000. It's got a bit more power than the Berry, crossovers built in, and I think it's capable of quite a clever trick. I think. If you got subs at a later date, the Peavey would run the tops from one channel, and the subs from the other, with correct frequencies going to each. I'd need to check that, but I think it's possible.
2) Get either Behringer or Peavey, and one or two active subs. It's the easiest way to add them to your tops, and if you get a sub with two channels ( the Alto TS15 I have springs to mind ) you can use either one or two subs, as required.
There are other ways, but that's enough to be going on with. Hope that helps.
