Audio Technica ATW701P/U Lapel System+AT829cW Mini Cardioid Lapel CH38
Each 700 Series wireless system provides a choice of eight PLL synthesized UHF frequencies in the 542-561 MHz band (TV channels 26-29). All 700 Series wireless systems offer both manual and automatic frequency scanning. Each wireless system includes a receiver and either a body-pack or handheld transmitter. Individual components are also available separately.
The ATW-R700 receiver features Diversity Reception. Logic circuitry monitors reception, selecting the superior signal from two antennas, providing better sound quality and reducing the possibility of interference and dropouts. Soft-touch controls provide convenient access to selection of operating frequency and automatic scanning, while an LED display indicates selected channel and scanning operation.
700 Series receivers feature a sophisticated Tone Lock tone squelch system that opens the receiver's audio output only when a 700 Series transmitter is detected, reducing the possibility of interference. As a result, 700 Series transmitters and receivers must be used together and should not be used with components from other Audio-Technica wireless systems, or with those of other manufacturers.
The versatile ATW-T701 UniPak body-pack transmitter has both low- and high-impedance inputs plus a bias connection, for use with dynamic and electret condenser microphones, as well as Hi-Z instrument pickups. The UniPak transmitter also offers separate trim controls for guitar and microphone, plus switchable high/low RF power.

Transmitters in the 700 Series use two 1.5V AA batteries for economical operation and wide availability. Both transmitters also feature a multi-color Power/Mute/Battery indicator.
The AT829cW 55" (1.4m) cable is terminated with locking 4-pin connector for A-T UniPak body-pack wireless transmitters.

A couple of questions, and an apology in advance if I've missed something really obvious.

Firstly, is there a headset mic included in this set? I see there's a lapel one, but I'm more interested in a headworn unit.
Secondly, the frequencies. The title says it's a channel 38 unit, but the specs say TV Channels 26-29.

Please make allowances for an old bloke who gets confused very easily nowadays.

Hi Peter,
Well, that will teach me to copy and paste :)
The range of the transmitter is 606-630Mhz and 38 is 606-613 so it should be good, it was sold as a channel 38 mic system.
There is an ATM73A headworn cardoid condenser mic included and pictured.
Thanks

That clears it up totally, ( as far as I can see. ) Thank you very much. It is indeed what I'm looking for to replace my bargain basement El Cheapo unit. ( Though to be honest, I bought the handheld transmitter for it, and last night, it performed brilliantly. )

Will have to consider the funding situation, as a controller has a higher priority at the moment.
