OK people, tonight's poser for 10.....

I seem to be doing a LOT of kiddy parties at the moment.
Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the people that enjoy doing these (once you're into them they can be a lot of fun).

However, the set I run for these is very interactive. As I'm sure all of you who do these types of parties will agree, a lot of time is spent in front of the booth running games and being out there with the kids.

At the moment, I've got a very nice set of AKG WMS 40 Mini2's which are perfect from my POV for general DJ work. But having a handheld mic in one hand whilst you're trying to use the other three hands to entertain 6 year olds is a bit of a hindrance.

Now I may be being a bit of a thickie here.....is there anyway anyone knows of to integrate a headset mic into the receiver for this set, or have I got to buy a complete headset and receiver setup? I can't see anything made by AKG which fits the bill (they don't seem to do headsets).

Any ideas/suggestions more than welcome. If it's not AKG and I have to go for a complete new wireless mic system just for the kids parties, then so be it (but it doesn't have to be wedding quality.....most of the halls these parties are held in are tiny so range and interference aren't going to be too much of a problem)

AKG definitely do a headset mic as I use one for kids parties and it made a big difference (AKG WMS perception 45 I believe).

I don't know if these will work on the AKG mini base station or not or even if you can buy the transmitted separately, but they're relatively inexpensive anyway.

Another option for you (sorry for hijacking this thread a little) is I'm selling an LD beltpack, headset and receiver (works fine, just didn't play nicely with the Transtec/Sennheiser unit I had at the time and I wanted to be able to use both at once).

I've also seen people using the cheaper Shure units for the same purpose and they sound great for this kind of work.
