View Full Version : Allen & Heath X-one 62 Mixer

I currently use the Denon DNX 1500 mixer. Having just bought a package that includes the ALLEN & HEATH X-ONE 62 MIXER. I now have a dilema which one to keep, which one to sell. I know the Denon mixer, but was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of the Allen & heath mixer.
Any comments would be helpfull.

We install the Xone 62 in to a few of the venues we do and find it to be a very reliable mixer. Useful features like easily replaceable faders and accesibility mak it my favourite over the denon. Its bloody big and some of the bits inside can work loose which is frustrating but having seen one compared to the denon thats been in a venue for a while the Xone has fared better.

Thanks, i also see there repair outlet is only 3 mile from where i live, which is always good. Been having a play with it(the mixer), and it does seem really good, and doesnt get hot like the Denon does.

I've not used either, but Allen & Heath are generally regarded as the dogs danglies when it comes to mixers. I guess the best way is to just try both and see which you prefer.

wel been useing the denon for just over a year, and it looks great a sounds great, but like you say, the allen heath is the rolls royse so to speak, and does sound really good

Allen & Heath have the advantage in terms of audio clarity, I don't think anyone will dispute that. However, in a mobile system you won't notice the difference.

I think you should sell me the Xone:62 for £100, and persevere with the lesser Denon;)

I am getting a xone:62 it was a toss up between that and the denon.Hoping it will make my mackies sound great.
