For those of you who use software that records the number of plays (or if you keep track yourself) what are your 10 most played tunes?
Mine are:
Jet - Be My Girl
Amy Winehouse - Valerie
Temptations - Ain’t Too Proud to Beg
Gloria Jones - Tainted Love
Tony Clarke - Landslide
Toots & The Maytals - Broadway Jungle
Byron Lee & The Dragonaires - Green Onions
Sugar Pie DeSanto - Soulful Dress
Otis Redding - Hard to Handle
Wilson Pickett - Land Of 1000 Dances

They sure ain't mine mate, although almost all are solid gold classics. Valeria has me scratching my head though. :D :D
Mine? Dunno.:daft: If VDJ can tell me this, and any technocrat can explain how, I'll let you know.

I stand corrected (well actually I didn’t stand, I sat while I did it).
My next 10 down are very much on the Indie side - funnily enough if asked I’d have said it was the other way around without checking first.

Few I don't know there mate but will look them up - bet they are at least as good as the ones I do know though
As mentioned on another thread, for me at the moment:
Tommy James & The Shondells - 'Mony Mony'
Wilson Picket - 'Land of 1000 Dances'
Human Beinz - 'Nobody But Me' (dependant on how well the above two went)
Barry White - 'Let The Music Play' and/or 'My First My Last My Everything'
Foundations - 'Baby Now That I Found You' and/or 'Build Me Up Buttercup'
John Miles - 'One Minute Every Hour'
Archie Bell & The Drells - Here I Go Again
Edwin Starr - '(SOS) Stop On Sight'
Martha Reeves - Jimmy Mack
Trammps - 'Disco Inferno'
have been played every night and gone down very well
Probably most of those are a bit more mainstream than your top ten

Most of those make an appearance quite high up on my playlists - so not worlds apart really.
I’m more likely to play Turn On Your Love Light or The Shaman by the Human Beanz though - but that’s when I’m doing a more 60’s Garage/Obscure/Psych type set...

Dicky's list features songs that I'd play at the drop of a hat, but I suspect I only play half of his list on a really regular basis

Bearing in mind I've only done ten or so (and counting) gigs in the last ten years...
Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free
Arthur Conley - Sweet Soul Music
Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Dancin In The Street
Diana Ross & The Supremes - You Can't Hurry Love
Ike & Tina Turner - Proud Mary (seemingly known & loved by more younger patrons than old)
The Killers - Mr Brightside (don't see the appeal personally, but always goes down a storm)
GnR - Sweet Child Of Mine (surprising how old the requesters of that seem to be)
Bon Jovi - Livin On A Prayer (same as above.. always seems to be the 50+ crowd who want it)
Barry White - You're The First, My Last... (either with or without original intro.. hotcues FTW! Does that make me a heretic?)
Beatles - I Saw Her Standing There

I'd play (and already have done) most of those
Proud Mary I find goes down rather well

Double-like! Of course, this track was included in Blues Brothers 2000 so that's where it's appeal comes from to me!! :)
I've not been too busy this year so it shouldn't take too long to sort out my "most played". But, being cheesy, I'd have to guess at Valerie (Amy Winehouse), 9 to 5 (Dolly Parton)(RWL Remix), (I've Had The) Time Of My Life (Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes), and Goodnight Sweetheart (The Flamingos) being very highly ranked!!
