Too right to. My girlfriends son ( 21 and should have known better) just got four fingers badly burnt after picking up a rocket that hadn't went off.

I think fireworks should be banned unless in an organised display. They are far too dangerous in my opinion.

People seem to be buying them and letting them off for weeks before and weeks after the actual date.

They're a pain in the neck as far as I'm concerned.

I went to our local organised display. Must remember to take binoculars next time as the actual display was in a field half a mile away from the public access area due to insurance requirements

really sums up the UK doesn't it....I mean we are all turning more PC by the day, having to discalim everything (I am not slagging anyone off i realise we have to) its a shame really that we cannot speak freely without fear of repurcusions....this country is no longer a free country, i feel that we should lead a revolution and take down the goverment...whose with me?

do you think we would get in trouble though?

'Disclaimers' etc aside.... it's my personal view that fireworks shouldn't be generally on sale for quite a few reasons: too many people can't be trusted with them (and it's usually others who get hurt) plus they are going off all flippin' year now and at all times of the night. Once upon a time, it was just on 5 November, or maybe the weekend either side, but around here barely a week goes by (in fact, I'm not sure that a week does ever go by) without fireworks going off somewhere in the vicinity.

They only occasionally get on my nerves, but there are plenty of families with young children, or elderly people who get seriously disturbed / frightened by them..... not to mention what it does to animals.

I think they should be banned from sale for anyone wearing burberry, a hoodie or any sportsgear :D:D:D

Seriously though, i think you should have to prove your responsible in some way, like make an official application rather than just buy them over the counter.

They would never get banned though people who buy them use them the right way its a small group of people (Neds lol) who use them in the wrong way. Way i see it is only firewrok makers should be able to sell them like http://www.abfabfireworks.co.uk/ as an example.

The only reason most people buy there own firewroks are because the local (council) display's are **** not naming any local council of mine !!!!!!! but there one is the same every year stand in the cold for hours to watch a 30 min display which is absolutely out of this worldly crap lol
