View Full Version : Where does the term SID come from?

I've laughed at the term quite a bit but my nickname is actually Sib do when I was setting up I was advised not to use it anywhere in the name. I know they are kind of cheap ass maplins using bedroom DJs but is there a reason that Sid was chosen?

This is me purely bored and I love to research word meanings

I should imagine it's because it rhymes with quid.

Sixty Quid Sid is such a positive term. :lol:

It was invented (as far as I know) by Vectis Vibe on here.
He owns need a disco and set up a fake site with different naff DJ personalities.

Most of it is now deleted and used as a tool to get people on NAD but some pages still exist:

Also Dave double decks which is also popular now as a naff DJ incapable of joining this century - we all know a few of them!
