Hi Guys

I just acquired today a whole load of kit from a club which has just closed down ;)

There are some very tasty amps amongst it (Peavey CS1800G's and various others) :) plus all the lighting, speakers etc - all this is from a working installation (I had to dismantle it all) so it's all good working kit.

There is also a quantity of faulty (or unknown condition) stuff - more amps, mixers, lights etc - which I need to have a look at look at but it was thrown in at no extra cost

Amongst all this kit is this Behringer DCX2496 Ultradrive Pro http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-DCX2496-Ultradrive-High-Precision-Loudspeaker/dp/B000NJ3YI8 which came from the working setup so I know it's good. The ex owner confirms this but says he 'doesn't have the codes' (password??) someone would need to set it up for another location.

I confess to knowing nothing about this unit. It appears to be a rather clever crossover type system that can also delay the audio to four amp/speaker systems to bring the sound all in phase on the dancefloor

Does anyone know anything about this unit, what it is capable of and what the 'code number' is needed for and whether there is a default (back door) pass code or it can be set back to factory defaults?

Cheers
Rich

Google seems to know :-)

So it'll lose all of its settings, but then that'd probably be an advantage starting as a new owner.

Have a butchers at the manual.. it's got all sorts in there. Channel routing, long & short time delay correction (both adjustable), EQ, peak limiting, crossover, channel summing...

Thanks Juski - should have done that myself , I just googled it to see if it was of any value, monetary wise lol

That's one impressive bit of kit! Not sure if it is so useful for mobile DJs but I guess if you wanted to put remote speakers on tripods at the rear of a venue it could have it's use, as well as looking quite 'flashy' in the PA rack cabinet :p

Don't think I will be keeping all this kit for myself, so could be some interesting stuff up for sale once I got it all sorted through.... and possibly some repairs done......

After taking out piezos one time too many (once) I built myself a limiter for my old mobile PA.. best thing I ever did. I'm considering getting something for limiting again.. and if I see something like this for the price of a fancy comp/limiter I'll bag it.

I'm also interested in this unit if it comes up for sale. (See other thread ref passive speakers and management systems :D)

OK guys

I'm pretty sure this one will be up for sale with quite a bit of other kit (as personally I am happy with my CX23 crossover and it seems a bit complex to set up for mobile use to me)

Having said that there is some stuff I want to definitely keep for myself (and it says BOSE on it).

Will have to check all the rest of the gear out and see for certain what I have got here as there was so much I can't even be sure what I have got myself :daft: - and I am going away on hols to Gran Canaria next Monday so will take a couple weeks to do that - but will put all of it that I don't want to keep up for offers on here before it goes to ebay

Cheers

Don't blame you :D Sounds like you've hit the jackpot there.... Have a nice holiday ;)

They're not bad units, I have 6 of them and use them for crossover/delays/limiting and dynamic eq. Not the best sounding units but don't sound bad either and are very easy to use.
