whats the difference

i have bought my self a DMX lighting Operator 192 by american dj a friend of my dads recommended the Elation Dmx Operator 192 Light Mixer but i couldn't get this make as it was out of stock on amazon but looking more carefully at the american dj one i have ordered it looks the same as the Elation one what i wanted my question is whats the difference between the american dj one and the Elation one is it the same unit but a different brand name on the unit or is there a 100% difference

If it looks the same but with a different badge on the front, chances are it's the same. Unless the firmware which dictates what they're like to use is any different. Dig the user manuals out ;)

Elation and American DJ are the same company group.

Elation tends to be aimed towards the higher end and ADJ more towards the DJ market but you do get the cross over between the 2. I'm pretty sure they are the same controller just with the 2 different company brands on.
