Royal Mail postal scam

Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it
has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following
scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number).

DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.
If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will
already have been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal
Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at http://www.icstis.org.uk> www.icstis.org.uk

I have to say, this is not true. The maximum you can be charged for a call within the UK is £1.50 a minute. So unless you are foolish enough to stay on the phone for 10 minutes, this isn't going to happen.

They can't bill you £15 for just listening to a message.

You can be charged more had this done to me before on my mobile i answer the phone and it was silent i cut the call off straight away as i know what these calls cost and had no credit left lol.

I really hate people that scam others and rip people off. This is one of the reasons why I went into printing because I used to be a club promoter and I used to order flyers and posters on a weekly basis and they always messed me about. Now we offer a straight forward and friendly service.

There are so many scams going about, however did anyone see Graham Norton last night? They had a guy on there who wastes time of the people who send spam emails, it was great. I get about 20 spam emails a day, so I really liked the fact someone was wasting their time too!

You can be charged more than £150 a call, anyone remember the Sun offers, call number for code call costs £15 and they send you your 'free' gift.
Unfortunatley while people still fall for these scams , they will continue to be used.
