Hi all,
I currently use a 4ft folder camping table with black scrim to put my laptop and mixer on. So far its worked well but its time for a change.
I have been thinking of getting a DJ booth so it, 1- Hides all the wiring, 2 - hopefully makes the setup easier, 3 - protects my equipment from drunks and beer.
I only have a small car (and won't be upgrading anytime soon) so space is always an issue.
I have been looking at this booth

or maybe this one

I like the first booth due to the size, I can easily fit all the equipment on it with plenty of room to spare, the second booth is better as it takes up less room in the car (I don't need the above rig for hanging lights as I used Chauvet 4play's on my speaker stands)
has anyone used any of these setups? can you give me the plusses and negatives?
I am worried the smaller stand may look odd possibly cheap (from an audience view point)
My playout consists of laptop, vms 4.1 in case or djx700 in case, wireless mic and 3 channel LX desk. All this would need to fit on the shelf or somewhere close.
As always your advice is much appreciated.
