Amp DJ heads up/ question.

As you all know well, I'm a simple little soul when it comes to T'interweb, but this one dod set the bells off.

Normally, I get enquiries from there singly, or in pairs. Last night, I got none at once!!!!!! Even more coincidentally, they're all for the same date, same customer, nine locations!!!!! If I can get hold of a cheap infinite improbability drive, I may consider quoting.

Whimsy over, anyone else get this, or can explain it? Thanks. From memory, customer is Abegail de los Reyes, or something like.

It happens occasionally (although normally only 2-3 at a time). Different venues is strange though.
Have you looked up this young lady on somewhere like Face-ache (can give all sorts of clues as to who the potential client is).
It could be completely innocent and she's got several venues in mind but not yet booked, or it could be something a bit more sinister like a blatent fishing excercise

so please ignore/delete anything from Abegail de los Reyes. He/she is systematically going through each page of our enquiry site and making a request.

We have our system set up to protect you from spambots but as this is a human with lots of time on their hands we cannot prevent them from making the enquiries.

I have blocked the IP range the emails are originating from but I suspect it's someone in the UK bouncing them off a foreign IP server.

Looks like all those of us with AmpDJ will soon be getting a chance to quote for work. :)

I got the same thing yesterday started about 5pm all from the same person mentioned above all for weddings all round the country....mass deleted them all.

I get that many from them all the time. Largely because I'm not signed up with them.

I had them a few days back so reported them to the admin - they since stopped

Just to up date you.......
Someone has spent over 10 hours submitting an enquiry to every single area (over 600 in total). We have a very efficient spam filter to stop a program misusing the site.... but this was a person. As soon as we were aware (because the system is totally automated) we instigated a way to stop them coming through to members..... they just came to us in the office..... and the idiot responsible for this attack was blissfully unaware that his enquiries weren't going anywhere. What an incredible amount of wasted time!
