I did my time as a wedding DJ, bar DJ, Club DJ, Touring with band DJ etc etc - basically I have cut my teeth on all formats and in all scenarios, but as a jack of all trades I now run a dj school in Leeds UK.

Basically I live in fear of any of my students coming in with a technique or technology which I don't know about - so I'm here to browse the boards and stay up to date.

Hello Jim, and welcome. I live in fear of not understanding any of this modern technology, and practices. Just when I'd got used to CDs, it's all change and I need a laptop, and all my music comes from a cloud. :confused:

I do hope you instruct your students in the appropriate use of the microphone, cos apparently some modern DJs don't use it. Outrageous. :mad:

PS, Jim, sometimes some of us post tongue in cheek comments, it shouldn't be too difficult spotting the serial offenders. :whistle::welcome2:
