Hi
I am using dslr booth software for my photo booth and the other day it kept hanging after not being used for a while( 5 minutes)
my camera is a canon 100d, my laptop is an i5 sony vaio and my printer is a ds-rx1 dye sub printer.
before I go to dslr for support I was wondering if any of the photo booth operators on here have used this software and had the same problem.
it hangs after the first photo and I don't know if it is waiting for the dslr camera to respond or its the laptop itself.
I don't think the printer is involved at all
the laptop is memory 4 gb dedicated graphics and an i5
the camera is on manual settings f5.6, iso 800 and shutter speed 1/100
thanks

I tried that software and had issues on my Mac. If you are using a mac what OS do you have? I moved to Spakbooth. I use an I5 and a normal Sata HDD and its fine on Vmware (XP windows). I have an I7 mac and SSD but have not needed it. May be the camera and live view as its a pretty low spec one, although not used by 1,100 for photo booth, only 70d.
Your better off asking here: http://support.dslrbooth.com/hc/en-us

thanks for the link toby
I have submitted a support ticket there and ill let you know if they can think of anything
just looked at their recommended spec for dslr booth and it is i5 with 8gb ram but I don't think that's the issue!

latest update is I've sent them a log of the software during operation and they have come back and said that the camera is set to go to stand by after a few minutes but I know this is not correct as I made sure that it is set to always on and have double checked it again so back to the drawing board I think!!

The support for DSLR booth is excellent from my experience. :)

another update from dslrbooth
this time they have said that when the camera is on autofocus, if there is nothing for the camera to focus on (apart from a white screen) because no one is in the booth so the software hangs and they are in the process of rewriting the software to remove this glitch
workaround at present is to have the camera on manual focus and that will stop the hanging.
I will try this tonight and let everyone know.
thanks
