Interesting one here I feel. Had to download less tracks than expected, which was nice. It mainly seems to be fairly bland, samey stuff, from what I can gather. Think it will benefit from the large PA, without a doubt. ;)

Requested and played at every single gig I've ever done since last year I think. Therefore, cheese :D Lowest common denominator fodder. Wait! No! I didn't play it, and wasn't asked for it at the 80th I did the other week. That's a terrible, terrible innings. There's a FB group on about deleting all your Black Lace. I personally wouldn't call it cheesy. I reserve that title for the likes of Mysterious Girl, Basshunter and S club 7.

Got a few of those but I must admit that it's very rare I do an 18th and if I do then I make sure they give me an advanced list so I can get most the rubbish (IMO) that is on a list like this (no offence).
I keep up with the charts when I do my updates every week but some of those I haven't heard of.....I must be slacking (or getting old).

David, thanks for the help. I don't intend to purchase the Paris track, that's where the line is drawn. I expect not to end up with that style of music all night, from what I've heard it's a bit samey and not very dancey. I expect chart music to make a considerable appearance, and I wouldn't bet against requests for Macarena, et al. :)

Last 18th I did, was the first in many many years & it played much more like a horrible cheesy wedding than an 18th party to be honest. Mud - Tiger Feet was about the biggest floor filler. That or Saturday Night :sick:

I won't be going out of my way to get any more 18th parties. I'm probably just too out of touch. In a few weeks I've got the pick of either a joint 40th or a 21st. I think I'll be going with the former & putting the minion (!) in the other.
