Haze and Vaping

OK - weird title, but let me explain.....

I gave up smoking a couple of weeks ago in favour of one of these new fangled e-cigarette things (I smoke custard now instead of tobacco).

The party I did last night was a big no-no on haze/fog...mainly due to the fact that my rig was directly underneath a smoke detector on a very low ceiling....with the best will in the world, any amount of haze was going to trip that one out.

BUT....the landlord told me to "vape" away to my heart's content.

Now, I never used to smoke in a venue (it's banned these days), and I normally go outside with the e-cig as well. But, it was cold, wet and windy and I'd been given permission to use it indoors. The effect on the lights was just like a hazer - so I stood there for most of the evening taking crafty puffs and blowing the resulting haze over my lights.....brilliant, and no firemen turning up :)

So here's the question....

The vape juice is made up of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol (plus water, flavouring and nicotine).

Does anyone know of a company that makes haze fluid using just PG/VG and water? Surely it'd save a lot of problems with smoke detectors!

It's pretty much the same stuff except the vaping fluid is pharmaceutical quality. If you blow a lot of vapour near a detector it will set it off.

Excellent idea, they'll keep coming back for more!
But yer smoke fluid is pretty much glycerine and water. Maybe save some money and vape smoke fluid?... Ha... Ha

If you want to stick to the ecig route, UK company Mist Eliquid does decent value 100ml bottles of liquid with the option of a 30/70 PG/VG split, which produces fat hilarious clouds from my Aspire Atlantis with a 1ohm coil (VG content is what chucks the clouds, in eliquid / vape juice). I'm one of these weird "never smoked" vapers so I'm on 0mg nicotine. Their spearmint flavour is pleasant and I've spent almost that much on 20/30ml bottles of big-brand juices before. One thing I've noticed about vape clouds vs the output from my ADJ Mini smoke machine, is the vape cloud does not want to rise to the ceiling naturally. I can literally blow the fog where I want it!

Thanks for the link Matt....I'll look into that. I've just ordered my Atlantis (0.3 ohm!) so should be fun....but I prefer a 50/50 mix personally (me and VG don't get on ;) ).

I noticed the same from the vape though...it didn't get anywhere even close to the eye in the sky right above the rig last Saturday...so could be onto something there :)
