Hello again everybody. After a good few years "retired" concentrating on the day job I've decided that the itch is just too much so I'm setting up again on a strictly limited basic.
I've not really kept my eye on the scene for the past few years so would appreciate some help equipment wise as I try and rebuild a rig.
I'm doing it purely for my own enjoyment this time round so will only be taking on gigs that float my boat.
I sold up last time. All I have left are my case/dvds and hard drive so will be looking to buy a few bits.

Hello Simon, I've retired twice, and here I am still at it. Welcome back.

Thanks, I couldn't remember any of my old details

I'm hoping to have a rig ready to go by the end of Feb. I've been scanning through some of the threads and it would appear lots has changed.

Absolutely. Corabar Steve's now a laptop DJ, I'm using an active PA, and hell has frozen over. ;)

Ha ha, I'm toying with going active. Love the sound of wharfedale though so wouldn't mind hearing the titan 15 d. Thinking of either a numark director or a cdn 77 for play out and good old halogen lighting. Don't want to spend the earth when I'm initially planning on less than 10 gigs a year.

I'll never be a DJ again!

Oh wait. Now I'm a DJ again.

I'll never work for myself again!

Ah... Now I work for myself again.

Right! I'll never have more than one rig...

Ummm...

I'll never have to employ anybody else...

Yep, you got it.

Never say never. Ever :)

Welcome... er.. back!
