Judging by a lot of posts in the available section, it looks like lots of us aren't working this weekend.

I've only got one on Saturday, but decided to take the night off and entertain some friends, as I don't get chance to very often.

Another Spanish night here tomorrow, paella, sangria and tapas on the menu.:) :beer1:

What you all up to?

Two gigs this weekend for me.

Just done a 12th Birthday party tonight which was a bit rubbish really, they didn't seem interested in the disco at all.

Got a 40th tommorow with a wonderful playlist :S

Must be a year too young as i've had some smashing 13th birthdays this year... was very frustrating tonight though, people kept asking for "put your hands up for detroit" so played it and no one danced! Same happened with most other requests too, and no amount of encouragement on the mic seemed to help. :(

Friday, Saturday this weekend...both 40th's.

Tonights gig was one of those ones that we're "extra special". Filled floor from start to finish and the crowd were complete PARTY ANIMALS!!. I had a lot of fun.

Roll on Saturdays gig!!.

had nowt booked - got asked by someone to do a wedding tonight for £100!!!!!

basically DJ asked me a few weeks ago to help him out as he was booked to do a hen night for a friend of his for £100, but had broke his laptop with all music stored on it, i had nothing on that night and agreed to do it to get a wee bit extra cash, turns out i also knew the bride (not as well)

anyway it was a great night...she then jetted of to the carribean for her wedding, tonight they are having a party for friends, and had booked the orginal DJ for the night who this time has slipped a disc....anyway gig is again £100, i agreed to do it however stated that next time he wants to pass on a booking not to give out a price as i will be charging my prices which is near enough double if not more than double his....

jeesh the cheek of some people....

So who did what?

It was very quiet on all the forums last night so were you all working after all, or did you go out?

I just made the most of having the house to myself (Angela was at her Mum's) Listened to some music, watched Robin Hood, listened to some more music, watched QI & generally veged out & I had some proper deep fried chipshttp://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy0166.gif

Friday night did an LVA Dinner Dance Set up at 6 o'clock, played my first song at 11.30!!!!!! and finished at 12.00 - played 8 tracks.
Saturday night did a male fashion show for my old Football Club, really good night, followed by disco. Thought they'd want Dance & R'n'b , but it was 80s all the way (as usual!!)

Had another fantastic night last night (Saturday). Right up till the end of the night when a guest started shouting and swearing at me DEMANDING another song. I was half way through dismantling the set-up at the time. I smiled, informed him "I don't take demads...only requests", and carried on packing away. Needless to say he didn't get his song. Drunk morons...gotta love them !.

All in all I had a great weekend.
