Hey guys - I came across a pair of these on my travels - both working fine and loaded with Fane Colossus 18XB drivers. They are just on the edge of manageable for mobile use (like I can actually lift them on and off the van unaided) though i think they would be better to handle with some wheels mounted on the back ;)

Anyway, as I like old skool stuff, they certainly looked the dogs danglies I thought. So I now have a pair of Colossuses or is that Colossi?

Anyone know what these babies actually are?

And probably a petrol engine as well, to make them easier to move! :D

They look a bit.. boy racery. And looking at that steel grille, sound a bit ringy too. Uglier than Cerwin Vega gear, and that's saying something

I have a Fane Collossus 18XB bass bin too but mine is home built.
I just put it in a simple sealed box.
I put castors on it to make it more manageable.

A one-off custom jobby perhaps?

No honestly they are one man managable as long as you don't have to move them too far

I really have no idea myself also, I am lead to beleive they are quite old, like mid 80's to early 90's and NOT made in China!

Does anyone know anything about the performance of these Fane Colossus 18XB Drivers? - I don't but anyway I hope to bring these to the Coalville DJ Demo Day and then we can see what they can do :)

Maybe I should make them a bit more 'last year' too and change that to logo to 'All About The Bass' :p

I paid £100 - I thnk the drivers are worth considerably more that that?
