I've not seen a mixer on any of the MC series that comes close to the X500. A separate rack mount version of this that you could use with the mixer of your choice would be perfect for me.

Also, with both this & it's Pioneer equivalent how much would it take to add another USB port to enable keyboard searches? When you have 35,000+ tracks on your playout source, all that twiddling becomes a bit laborious (I know first hand from when one of the keyboards for my HD2500s packed up mid gig).

Another thing, why oh why do the mics on all these all in one jobbies have to be either all jack or one jack & one XLR? Surely 2 XLR/jack combo sockets can't take up that much more room & make for a much more flexible product for the end user.

Agree keyboard input would be nice! and two XLR / Combo inputs !

Best DJ mixer Pioneer DJM 5000 just so far ahead of anything else ,brilliant mic and pa section + loads of other features sadly discontinued.

I wish they'd put decent mic sections on all DJ controllers full stop. Either they've not got 2 XLRs, or there's no on/off switch, or there's no EQ, or the EQ & level controls are inaccessible.. Even club DJs have to use a mic sometimes damnit. Edit: at least on the MCX8000 the controls are on the top! AMEN!

And yeah the size of these all in ones is objectionable. Also, would it kill them to fit an internal power supply? Pro gear shouldn't have wall warts!

If you're able to control mydmx with it and its fully functional with vdj I might go for it once any teething problems have been worked out.

I have always liked Denon stuff but for me that thing is HUGE!

From what I've seen Denon do like making cheaper versions of what pioneer makes... Looks to me like the screens from cdj2000s, almost identical button layout to the ddj sx 2...but they've put seperate channels for the mics which is a big feature the ddj sx excludes. Probably a not so high quality mixer/ soundcard... Cheaper buttons ahh what are they doing? Make your own ideas up Denon!

My apologies i am wrong i have had this unit on test for a month and in my opinion is the best controller i have ever used.The mic is superb and the sound quality is great using with a mac book pro and serato it is a doodle 4 decks and two stand alone usb inputs and it is not that heavy a great addition well done denon.

How do you get on with the screens, do you think you could play all evening with the MacBook pro tucked away underneath or something.
been thinking about getting one of these but not sure if I would use the screens or just revert back to the laptop screen and then I suppose your paying for something extra you don't use.
But then I suppose we all like shiny new toys now and again.....

I use the screens when im using engine from the 2 usb drives which i find very easy for normal jobs like weddings and such like,dont even have the laptop on,but for club and dance jobs use the laptop because i have the full package of add ons for mixing.Have been using pioneer djm 5000 & mep 7000 and find this better in all aspects .
