I enjoy watching videos from other mobile DJs, shops and sound/lighting tech people whilst having some lunch and was wondering if there was any channels which I don't already know about which might be good to watch. So far I subscribe to these youtubers:
BrianSRedd - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7AlDfYGk0PkFLZYnOJ_dFg
Mike Johnson - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzvUpKP3KVEPX5Th0s3dTuQ
discjockeynews - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBAIx9PcDMIgM-GstG0o6pQ
Joe | JLDJUK - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCucKqTO5VWh8rHfEyLKKPOw
drcrippen324 - https://www.youtube.com/user/drcrippen324/videos
Ellaskins - https://www.youtube.com/user/ellaskins
John Beck - https://www.youtube.com/user/A1partydjs
and I suppose I best include this guy... https://www.youtube.com/user/yourdjuk
And here's my channel if your interested, although I don't think I'm that good at the whole video thing - https://www.youtube.com/user/DJBessant

I used to be an avid viewer of Mr Ellaskins. Not any more. He's lost his way somewhat.. would be the kindest way of putting it I think

I think you're probably right. I would watch many of his videos but now they all seem to be recycled, I do occasionally see one of interest though.

The reasons I started watching them in the first place were his programming tips & explanations of techy things as well as his gig logs. There's still the occasional one so though I'm not subscribed anymore I pop back now & again.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that was worth the time it took to watch to be honest, but many seem to rate him so maybe it’s just me.

Mike Johnson seems bonkers(in a nice way).
Joe | JLDJUK does good reviews.
Funny enough i came across all of them doing searches for dj gear etc.

Mike Johnson is brilliant. Have you seen his comparison of the ADJ Micro Galaxian & a cheap Chinese import? It's mint.

Indeed I have! Despite the real comedy factor he gives a great idea of what the lights can do although I feel like he leaves a suspicious amount of open confetti boxes just lying around ready to be walked into or knocked off.

I don't tend to watch any of the DJ YouTube channels, not because I think I know everything but because I don't find them that interesting.

Thanks. There are some real gems in there for you if you dig deep enough. ;)

Ellaskins may have some great advice for beginners, intimidates and the odd subject that we might not know much about (DMX for example). Not watched one of his videos in many years though so don't know what the content is like. i don't know who or if he makes money from the DJ tutor thing, but at least there is something out there reasonably motive and informative.
I got a bit sick of Brian Redds rants etc (internet famous people can get a bit ahead of themselves sometimes), but him and Mickey do some great kit reviews. Other than that I don't really look at DJ stuff on Youtube, especially my crap channel, makes me cringe. ;)
The Camera industry (all being OCD with loads of time on their hands) have better channels for help. This guy is a legend when buying a lens!! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxoyIXANauK4cEfy0Wc09IA

Just watched the video and even by his standards its quality - The bit where he looks under the counter for a lemon and actually has one !!!

I remember the first few videos he did and emailed him to say what an excellent idea it was.

He does, though sometimes a little too in depth I think....

And I thought I was the only one that thought it was fun to make a "prat" of myself and post it on youtube... gems indeed!

make a "prat" of myself!
Its one of my best talents. :)
Outside of business, life's too short to take anything too seriously.
Not looked through my videos for years, might have an evening of it.

That is very random. Stuff like that works in the US.
Reminds me of the wig guy doing adverts in goodfellas.

He's a canny all-round bloke, too! Like Daz at DiscoWorld in Hartlepool.
