Very good speakers? I'd say no, even at full price.

At £74 a pair, they may be nice to sit on if you add the added expense of a cushion.

You may not believe this, but I was waiting for this post. Peavey's budget offerings are exactly that- Budget.
I ran a pair of Eurosys 3s for many years, and loved them, but I think the newer offerings are not in the same class.

My earlier suggestion still stands, Hisys/UL with a big amp ( PV 2600 for example ) to drive them. They'll cope with reasonably sized gigs easily.

Same here. :)
Nothing worse than having massive heavy speakers that are just simply not loud or sound terrible.

If you want cheap plastic peaveys you would be much better off looking at the impulse range. I've seen plenty listed fairly cheap on a certain auction site lately. There's also plenty of 2 xt' s, even found a pair with a big amp that would be ideal for you. Depends how far you want to travel I suppose

Don't know but I have a pair of timber Peavey Pro 15s you can buy for that price.:D

Previously owned by Mr Need a Disco.

I need some space here.

Sound fine to me for small to medium events.

Obviously depends what playout and amp/ mixer you are using.

Carriage might be a problem.
