Mike,

I just used the sticky back stuff (bought in woolies I think) and left it a couple of days before use. Been stuck there two years now with no problem. I use it on the flat plate in the middle of my skytec truss (where is bolts together) to mount a 8 way IEC splitter box. No problems at all.

How about stick back stuff and a couple of tie wraps?

You could use small pop rivets, they dont move at all.

Nice one Steve liked your reply. lol

I use the double sided velcro, because it sticks to itself very handy for attaching things to anything else really. Very strong as well I use it to fix a 3 foot long uv tube sometimes as well as for keeping my cables tidy.

Double sided velcro? Not sure what you mean by that. Have you got a link so we can have a look? :)

Possibly, although I think we're looking for something a little more re-usable...rather than something that holds buildings together! :richie:

Product is made by sellotape, it is hooks on one side and loops on other, so when you put it around something it sticks back to itself. I have been looking for a link for it but havent found it yet. Halfords and homebase both sell it on a roll of about 10 metres for about £5. You cut it to length, it also sticks well to speakers and carpet covered boxes very handy for keeping leads neat. just found a similar prduct here

Double sided velcro? Not sure what you mean by that. Have you got a link so we can have a look? :)I bought a long roll of thin velcro to secure my cables - you just cut off the length you need, wrap it around your cable & pole, and it secures to itself.

Have a look HERE (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230025542826&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2F search.dll%3Fcgiurl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay. co.uk%252Fws%252F%26fkr%3D1%26from%3DR8%26satitle% 3D230025542826%2B%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1), also go to the 'Velcro' section of the sellers shop for more ideas.

Ah! with you now.... like velcro cable ties. Didn't know you could buy rolls of it though.... we use the sticky-backed stuff and make it up to be double-sided ourselves :D :D

Wouldn't help Mike in this situation, but very useful! :D

I wonder if Daz has seen this. Custom size velcro ties, he'll be in heaven.:D

But doesn't Mike want to fix the velcro to the stand permanently? (see post #1 or the quote in my last post) EDIT: Dammit! too Late! Curses foiled again!
