Can Anyone recommend a good powered USB hub that i can use with my Mac book ill be plugging in a Pioneer controller and two hard-drives so i would like it to be USB 3.0.

Not USB3, but you're gonna have to pay over the odds for that. Not that you necessarily need USB3 really - since USB2 is more than fast enough to be able to handle the throughput you need even for video playback
