Any Ideas what this connection type is.

I have been asked by someone who was given the light, I haven't a clue.

Just IEC isn't it?

Yep bog standard IEC, as seen on pretty much any light that hasn't got a fixed lead or a powercon connection.

Thanks, he told me it only had two pins but on closer inspection I can see it has 3.

The area below the 3 pins probably holds a fuse and/or a mains filter.
