Just had an enquiry for a christening - 4.30pm to 11.30pm on a Sunday! My first question was why? Seven hours for a christening? Ridiculous! Quoted £75 an hour- aand they seemed to think it was too expensive! Discuss!

christening are dodgey proceedings people tend to think that because its sunday you will quote low ????

usually the hours are monterous my one and only dealing with a christening was years ago christening/18th party ... 4 till 11 girl had invited 150 people ....at one point we mustered 19!!! the mere mention of the word has chilled my bones ever since.

I've only ever done a couple of christenings and tey've only been for a few hours in the afternoon, and from what I can remember it was mainly background music, rather then full on disco.

I don't want to sound negative, but it sounds like the most pointless use of a disco ever

christenings are big catholic things- get a lot of them in liverpool- not a bad way to make a few quid if you want to fill a sunday.
if people are willing to pay, then whats the problem.
best use of a disco it may not be, but the moneys as good as any other gig and you can get a sat night off instead.
