Any program that allows the importing client playlists?

I very much doubt I'll move from Traktor but I had an idea and I'm not sure if any other programs offer it but I waste so much time doing the very simple task of taking the clients playlist and making a playlist on Traktor with all the tracks ready to play.

Look at client list > type track name in Traktor > drag track into playlist > repeat often 100 times = at least an hour of faffing about.
I personally find all the tracks being ready on Traktor with their musical key, bpm, length etc all being visible and sorted very useful and allows me to be much more fluid so "just print it off" isn't an option.

Ideally I would love to import a CSV format list (for example) into Traktor and tell it to pop all these tracks into preparation then one at a time do a search for each result and show me a search for each so I can select the correct track and anything It cannot find it should either display or append a comment to the side of my CSV format list.

Or a windows program which just searches for all of the tracks, I click which are the correct ones then it creates a bunch of shortcuts to each music file in a folder which Traktor will happily accept if I drag those shortcuts over to the preparation playlist.

My bookkeeping software is much more powerful than this and does almost the same thing so somebody could do it? Anybody offering, I'd pay £100 for a decent solution!!!

I've done something like this with my website which makes my clients do the work :D VDJ stores it's database in XML format, my website has a database behind it that imports VDJ's XML database. The clients log in, search the database by name and artist and select tracks for their party. I then download their selections as a playlist which goes straight back into VDJ. Simples :D

The only catch is when the client asks for lots of songs that aren't already in my DB, then the website flags them up to me and I have to go hunting for new music. This sounds ok in theory, but I've had a couple of clients who really haven't known what they've been looking for and I've ended up with 20-30 tracks flagged as new music, but actually not. It's still better than building the whole playlist manually though.

Hmm I'm not sure how Traktor stores it ... I'll look into it, but half of my clients like to make lists themselves and don't use my website for making lists so I would ideally like a way of just scanning the words really.

I don’t mind putting requested or suggested tunes in manually. For one I actually get to see all the songs which often triggers related tunes I know they’ll like as well - if it’s too automated I’d certainly save some time but feel I'd lose out on a lot more.

I let the clients do it on DJEP for me :-)

As you say, ot opens up quite a bit of ideas plus they can add instructions for when / what they would like yo happen. Saturdays bride was VERY specific about when some songs had to be played, what she wanted done with the moodlights / announcements etc... You couldn't do that importing them right into the software.

I've found those clients tend to email me their demands/playlists instead :D

You've got a point... Even if it gives me RSI!
Maybe it's just this weekend thays getting to me with multiple long lists!
