well ladies and gentlemen
the subject of price has raised its anually popped up head with people charging sensible prices for the work they do only to be told its far to expensive and bob can do it for £50 .
on that note i thought well lets list a few prices that we have been quoted for jobs using other services within the confines of our lives .
for the purpose of this thread we shall say a mobile disco is
6 hours work + travel with half a ton of gear
ok heres mine ................................................
a) recent quote for new washing machine door and fitting from a company in my locality £130
infact ....... bought the door myself and fitted it in ten minutes using only a screw driver.
b) a gas man to come and connect my cooker to the wall ..... £90
infact wifes friends husband did it (corgi registered) in 15 mins with a tool box cost £30
c) board out the loft (we had bought the boards and put them up in the loft) £275
infact my dad did it in 2 hours hes 65 with a hammer and nails.
