Hi all,

Just thought I would alert you to a cheaper version of a TFT stand I have found. I had read an earlier thread about the same type of stand, but it was around £50. This one is £32.84.;)

I don't see how that will be any more stable than anything else you could use?

Hi, It would appear to be more stable than the 5 legged with castors, as it has a flat base, and broad. Also the legged versions are of no use for TFTs, makes them even more unstable.:p

But what about the mic holders

Castors with brakes - and I still dont see how a single pole would be more stable?

Everyone to their own I guess. Still as a KJ, I would never use th castor stands again.:)

I guess all I need to do is find one and carries the whole rig!!, and that opens up in 10 seconds. Beats spending 1/2 to hour setting up eh.:) :) :)

Not so much each to their own - I still don't understand how the single pole can be safer?

The caster type can move around quite easly with just a slight tap. The broad base one, which is weighted, cannot therefore more stable.

To quote your own signature, reworded to suit......"A good stand may be judged on one look, but its better to try it to be thoroughly sure". :) :)

Not yet, but about too, when I can find the money. Just paid out £1500px on a home karaoke rental rig. Am offering home karoake equipment rental as well now.

You wouldn't believe the amount of calls I get for this. So, have done the research and discovered that if you work it right with the right amount of deposits etc., you can't really lose. Your gear does all the work for you. All you have to do is deliver and pick up. I reckon with the smoking ban coming up, people who do smoke and enjoy karaoke, will take every opportunity to run karaoke nights either at home, or at a place they can hire for private, where the ban won't apply.

If the DJ/Karoke shops can do, then so can I;) ;) ;) ;)
